SUSF6NM Stainless Steel

SUSF6NM is widely used in fields such as nuclear power, petroleum machinery, and valves due to its good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.

SUSF6NM stainless steel belongs to ultra-low carbon martensitic stainless steel. It is made by improving the smelting process of martensitic stainless steel, reducing the carbon content, and adding nickel-molybdenum alloy elements. Its performance is superior to that of conventional martensitic stainless steel.

Physical Properties:

Density: 7.79 kg/dm³. Compared with other common stainless steels, its density is relatively low, which has certain advantages in some applications with weight requirements.

Specific Heat Capacity: 0.47 kJ/(kg・K). The specific heat capacity is moderate, which can better control the temperature change during the heating and cooling processes, and is beneficial for temperature control during the processing and usage processes.

Processing and Heat Treatment:

Processing Performance: It has good hot and cold processing performance. It can be made into products of various shapes and sizes through various processing methods such as rolling, forging, cold drawing, and cold bending, and is suitable for manufacturing complex parts and structures.

Heat Treatment Process: Usually, the heat treatment process of quenching (normalizing) + tempering is adopted. The quenching or normalizing temperature is 1080℃, and the tempering temperature is 600℃. The holding time for quenching and tempering depends on the cross-sectional size of the product.
