SUS416 Stainless Steel Bar

SUS416 is a martensitic stainless steel, commonly known as stainless iron. It has a certain degree of corrosion resistance and is the stainless steel grade with the best free-cutting performance among stainless steels.

Performance Characteristics of SUS416 Stainless Steel Bar:

Machinability: Due to the addition of elements such as sulfur, SUS416 has good cutting performance. It is one of the stainless steel grades with the best free-cutting performance. It can be efficiently processed on equipment such as automatic lathes, which can effectively improve production efficiency and reduce processing costs.

Hardness: Through heat treatment, its maximum hardness can reach HRC50. In the quenched and tempered state, the hardness is above HB:159. It has high strength and hardness, making it suitable for manufacturing parts that need to withstand relatively large pressure and wear.

Corrosion Resistance: It has a certain degree of corrosion resistance. However, compared with austenitic stainless steels such as 304 and 316, its corrosion resistance is poor. It is not suitable for use in highly corrosive environments, such as the ocean and places with high chloride content.

Magnetism: It is magnetic and can be used in some applications that require magnetism, such as electromagnetic applications, small and special motors, and electrical components.
