SUH616 stainless steel plate

SUH616 heat-resistant steel is a martensitic series heat-resistant steel according to the Japanese JIS standard. SUH616 is an alias for 422. It is an alloy that adds MO, W, V, Ni, etc. to steel with 11-13% Cr and has high strength at high temperatures below 650°C.

Mechanical Properties:

Mechanical properties at room temperature: The tensile strength is generally ≥ 700MPa, the yield strength is ≥ 350MPa, the elongation is ≥ 25%, and the hardness in the annealed state is generally ≤ 269HB.

High-temperature mechanical properties: It can still maintain high strength and hardness at high temperatures, has good high-temperature creep rupture strength and creep strength, and can work for a long time in a high-temperature environment of 600-700°C.

Physical Properties:

Density: Approximately 7.9g/cm³.

Coefficient of thermal expansion: Between room temperature and 600°C, the coefficient of thermal expansion is approximately around 14.5×10⁻⁶/°C.

Thermal conductivity: The thermal conductivity is relatively low, which is not conducive to the rapid conduction of heat at high temperatures.

Corrosion resistance: It performs excellently in a variety of corrosive environments, especially in environments containing chloride ions. It has extremely strong corrosion resistance to chloride-contaminated media such as seawater, geothermal water, neutral salts, and brine.

Machinability: It has good plasticity and workability, and can be processed through various methods such as cold working, hot working, forging, and welding. It is suitable for manufacturing various parts with complex shapes.
