SUH4 stainless steel rod

SUH4 is a heat-resistant steel, a martensitic heat-resistant steel in Japan, and it is used for the exhaust valves of high-speed engines.

Product forms available for SUH4

The following standard specification materials are available for SUH4 stainless steel:

SUH4 plates and sheets (For fixed lengths, please refer to the strip materials)

Supply status: Hot-rolled plates, cold-rolled plates, solution treated, and pickled.

SUH4 circular plates or rings

Supply status: Hot-rolled or forged materials, solution treated, pickled or machined.

SUH4 forgings

In addition to circular plates, rings, round bars, and bars, forgings in irregular shapes can also be provided according to requirements.

SUH4 strips

Supply status: Cold-rolled and annealed, or solution treated, pickled or bright annealed.

SUH4 wires

Supply status of SUH4: Brightly drawn, bright annealed

Welding filler materials

Rod-shaped, wire-shaped, and strip-shaped electrodes with good weldability and electrode core materials of all specifications can be provided.

SUH4 seamless pipes and welded pipes are in stock. The outer diameter of the tube blanks is Φ10-520. Conventional specifications are available in stock.

Supply status: Forged materials, rolled materials, cold-drawn materials, solution treated, pickled, and machined.

Mechanical properties of SUH4 stainless steel        

Characteristics:

Heat Resistance: It has good oxidation resistance and thermal strength in high-temperature environments. It can withstand high temperatures, is not prone to deformation and damage, and can work stably for a long time at high temperatures.

Corrosion Resistance: Containing a high proportion of alloying elements such as chromium, it can form a dense chromium oxide protective film, effectively resisting the erosion of various corrosive media and performing excellently in some corrosive environments.

High Strength: Through appropriate heat treatment and alloy composition design, SUH4 stainless steel bars have high strength and hardness and can withstand large external forces and loads.

Machinability: It can be processed in various ways such as forging, rolling, cutting, and cold drawing. However, due to its high hardness, the processing difficulty is relatively high. Appropriate processing techniques and cutting tools need to be used. At the same time, attention should be paid to controlling the processing parameters during the processing to avoid processing defects.
