S30400 ASTM A240/240M-2018 Stainless steel wire is a universal stainless steel material with a variety of excellent properties and a wide range of applications.              

S30400 stainless steel wire is mainly composed of iron, chromium, nickel and a small amount of carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus and other elements. Among them, the content of chromium is about 18%, the content of nickel is about 8%, which makes the S30400 stainless steel wire has excellent corrosion resistance.

Corrosion resistance: S30400 stainless steel wire has excellent corrosion resistance, especially in acidic environments and high temperature conditions, can resist oxidation, acid and alkali corrosion and other corrosion effects.

Thermal stability: Under high temperature conditions, S30400 stainless steel wire can maintain good strength and hardness, not easy to deformation and thermal expansion, showing excellent thermal stability.

Machinability: S30400 stainless steel wire has good malleability, weldability and machinability, and is easy to process into various shapes, sizes and structures.

Magnetic: Under annealed conditions, S30400 stainless steel wire is non-magnetic. However, after cold processing, its austenitic structure may be partially transformed into martensite, which has weak magnetism.
