High-temperature and corrosion-resistant alloy UNS N07718

UNS N07718 is a nickel-based alloy manufactured in accordance with the NACE MR-01-75 specification.

The difference between it and 718 AMS lies in that the chemical composition has been adjusted, the range of components has been narrowed, and the annealing and aging temperatures are different.

In this way, different material properties are obtained. The mechanical properties of 718NACE have been reduced (the yield strength has decreased from 150ksi to 120ksi).

However, it has better toughness and corrosion resistance. The maximum hardness of 718NACE is 40HRC,

which is also lower than that of 718 AMS. But the comprehensive performance of 718NACE is more suitable for oil and gas environments containing hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide gases.

For example, it is used to manufacture valves, pipe joints, MWD/LWD components, fishing tools, pump shafts, wellhead assemblies, etc.
